Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.

About The Harvey Little Ancestory
This is the accumulation of family history research of some 11 years or more. This site has been established for the purposes of sharing information with family members around the world.

Access is given by invitation only, and members may edit the information on their branch only. Please be aware that I hold the master file at home on my computer, and will be updating this to reflect any changes that members make, but I will be citing that person as the source of the information.

If adding information, please add females by their maiden name, not their married one. Please do not say SMITH (nee JONES).

Please also put all surnames in CAPITALS. There are many names that could be reversed: Harvey PARSONS or Hedley HARVEY for example. We have loads of instances where Harvey is either first, middle or surname. Imagine how complicated that could be for me to unravel!

Please, also remember we are international. Add town, county/state AND country!

Occasionally, you may find you do not have access. This will be temporary, while I am updating the online information, with new information I have found.

HARVEY-BOOTHER
I have researched the four branches of my father's line: HARVEY, POTTLE, BOOTHER, SULLIVAN. Geographically, this research travels from Ireland to Newfoundland to England to New Zealand and various other points along the way.

The HARVEY line reputedly started in Ireland, possible Cork; then emigrated to Newfoundland, Canada, before my paternal grandfather Hedley HARVEY settled in Kent, England to raise a family. His progeny have scattered far and wide – New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Spain etc although some still live in England. I still know very little about the POTTLE's.

My father's maternal line, The BOOTHERs seemed to have originated in and around Hoxton, London where George married Margaret SULLIVAN whose family came from Cork in Ireland. The family soon moved to Kent where my grandmother and grandfather eventually met.

MCKENZIE-LITTLE
My mother's four branches: McKENZIE, SWANSON, LITTLE and DUNCAN are Scots, although latterly from Aberdeen and Edinburgh, originally they hailed from Ayrshire and Caithness.

The name SWANSON heavily suggests Scandinavian origins. The origins of the name Swanson has been said to have been "SVENNSINER". Its well known that Scandinavians traded with the Scots, and many settled in Scotland. Caithness (where our SWANSONS were from) was one of the favourite spots.

THANKS FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS!
Please let me know if there is anything I need to add or amend, or if there is any other information you would like to see or ask me to research.
